Molteni&C Dada NYC flagship store curated collection
Freeforms is pleased to have assisted in the styling for the opening of the NYC flagship store of Molteni&C Dada at 160 Madison Ave, designed by architect Vincent Van Duysen. The ceramics we contributed include work by Martin Schlotz, Heiner Balzar, Sheila Fournier, Gabrielle Koch, Arne Bang, Elly Kuch, Hubert Griemert and Gorge Hohlt, produced from the 1930s to the 1970s. The architectural, brutalist and organic shapes provided an elegant contrast to the rich dark wood paneling, pebbled leather upholstery and Marta Ferri fabrics in the living areas and the sleek polished stone countertops and laminate cabinetry in the Dada kitchens.
This collection contains items currently in the installation, other complementary work by the artists, and glassware and porcelain inspired by the design.
