Yngve Blixt 1920-1981


Oskar Yngve Blixt was born in Höganäs on May 2, 1920, and began his career as a grower worker at Höganäsbolaget. After studying at Albin Hamberg, he started his own workshop in Höganäs in 1949. From the beginning it was a lot about tourist production, but the quality was gradually increased and he produced a lot of unique production. Blixt worked a lot with chamotte and often experimented with different types of glazes such as haresfur.

Yngve Flash also belonged to the group "Ceramics in Höganäs" together with Ann Jansson, Claes Thell, Brita Mellander-Jungermann and Henning Nilsson. They also had an exhibition hall in Höganäs that they ran together. Yngve Blixt died in Höganäs on February 6, 1981. He signed his articles "Y.Blixt Höganäs"
